Submitting Shopify files for your bookkeeping: how it works

Do you use Shopify for your webshop? Then we’ll need a few files from you to process your bookkeeping correctly.
No worries — below you’ll see exactly what to submit 👇
1. Order export from Shopify (quarterly)
Send us an Excel export of all your orders each quarter.
👉 We’ll take care of the rest.
📌 Important
Is your Shopify backend set to EUR?
👉 Then we may be able to set up a connection with Jortt
👉 In that case, you won’t need to send Excel files anymore
Just send us a message and we’ll check this for you.
Where can you find the export?
- Go to Orders in Shopify
- Click Export
- Choose All orders or a date range
- Select the correct quarter
- Download as Excel/CSV
What’s included?
This file includes:
- revenue
- VAT
- orders
- country of delivery
👉 We use this to:
- process your VAT correctly
- handle OSS (international sales)
- allocate your revenue properly

(Jortt does not support Excel uploads)
2. Shopify invoices (monthly)
Upload your Shopify invoices in Jortt every month.
Where can you find them?
- Go to Shopify → Payouts → Documents
What’s included?
- transaction fees
- payment fees
- other Shopify costs
👉 We use this to process your expenses
3. Using a payment provider? (like Mollie)
Are you using a payment provider alongside Shopify?
Then we’ll also process those payouts and fees.

It has an automatic integration with Jortt

Using a different provider?
Then please send us:
- payout reports
- fee overviews
4. Using PayPal?
Then send us a quarterly overview of:
- all transactions
- fees
- refunds
